The Hike of DOOM.
Updated: Jun 28, 2020
The only time I’ve gone on a hike was to Chantry Flats, located in the Angeles National Forest. We hiked a ‘lovely’ 11.2 miles in the blinding heat of the California sunshine. I discovered this day that I am not one who hikes. I must thank my friend Roxy for taking me on this grueling trek so I may discover that about myself. Give me a lovely patio with a latte to sip while I admire my surroundings. Those are afternoons I enjoy! I do give props to those who enjoy hikes!
I did take several photos that day, so it wasn’t too bad, and I lost two pounds!
We came across a few cabins, one of them let us refill our water bottles, which was very kind of them. There are so many beautiful places within Chantry Flats, I took several photos, but these are some of my favorites.
I took these photos because their mystery drew me to them. I wanted to know what stories they had hidden within them, and I can just imagine the adventures had here.
This one here is a composite my husband made of my cat Blu Belle and me. I have wanted to create a series of photos of Blu Belle in various places around the world. So I’ll say this one here is the first one of the collection. Let’s see where she goes next.
