Pitstop To Vegas...
It has been quite some time since my husband, and I have stopped by Peggy Sue’s 50s diner in Barstow, California. This diner has so much charm and character, even the outside has its own magic.
There is a lovely pond outside, which wouldn’t surprise me if it had its own gator!
If you make your way through the diner, you’ll eventually come to the gift shop. Which, if I recall, had a selection of I Love Lucy and The Wizard of Oz merchandise amongst countless others. This is always a stop of ours on the way back from Las Vegas to have lunch.
Each item on the menu is named after a movie star or celebrity from the 1950s or thereabouts. Such as Charlie the Tuna Melt. The Gary Cooper, Big Bopper BLT, and Frankie Avalon Philly Steak Sandwich. The menu has sure worked up an appetite and has me daydreaming about the next time we can stop by for lunch!
